Laboratory Technician iV
Job Description Are you looking for a dynamic opportunity to provide valuable lab support to programs in BAE Systems Massachusetts facilities of Lexington, Burlington and Plymouth? BAE Systems is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join their fast-paced Lab Services team where you will perform a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation of multiple engineering labs.
You will have the opportunity to interface with engineering teams in these locations in addition, to integrating and being mentored by Senior Lab Staff in the ES Defense Lab Services Organization.
This position will have you be autonomous in the lab with the responsibility of working directly with program(s) to manage their execution needs and assuring their lab areas are compliant to BAE Systems Lab Policies and procedures.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 3
years Engineering Lab Tech or equivalent experienceSelf-motivated and autonomous on task completionGood organizational and multitasking skills.
Good communication skills - verbal and writtenCandidates must be eligible to obtain a Secret DOD Clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access databases beneficial.
Prior lab support with familiarity of chemical handling, material ordering and handling of calibrated equipment.
