Using knowledge of economic principles, business management, strategic planning, and hospitality management to effectively manage and operate a hotel. Responsible for the overall management of the hotel property including a staff of 20
individuals of which there are several managers from each department, which may include Front Office Manager, Executive House Keeper, the Chief Maintenance Officer, Security Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, and Sales Manager. Business management duties include: work directly with corporate management to plan long-term financial strategy for assigned hotel property and personally oversee implementation of plan; collect performance data and track milestones regarding site performance; produce financial reports on site performance and inform corporate management of progress including any need to revise business strategy; review third party vendor agreements and calculate commissions for travel agencies and third parties; analyze internal management issues and implement strategies for improving job performance and satisfaction while reducing turnover; maintain ongoing relationships with top accounts; manage staff and hotel for compliance with brand standards. Financial duties include: management of hotel financials and profitability; review auditor's sales numbers and resolve any inconsistencies; plan monthly/annual budget for hotel; review all costs and expenses and make recommendations for improved efficiency; perform cost-profit analysis; regular review of profit and loss statements; forecasting capital expenses of hotel. Sales and marketing duties: review sales and marketing activities and plan marketing initiatives to improve hotel sales and revenues; perform marketing and public relations activities; address and resolve guest complaints and manage any crisis that may from time to time arise. May be assigned to various unanticipated hotel sites throughout the United States that the employer manages.
May need to relocate with employer reimbursement.
Currently working at hotel located in, Boston, MA.
Hours vary and must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
1 year of experience as Hotel General Manager or Operations Manager. Some experience must include stabilization of hotels during either management transition or new hotel opening; strategic planning including capital expenditures; ensuring compliance with hotel brand standards; performing cost-profit analysis; analyzing profit and loss statements; training of employees; and managing expenses and revenues. Must have experience with the property management system (PMS) system of one of the following major brands: Marriott, Wyndham, Best Western, or Choice Hotels.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Hotel Management, Business, Hospitality, or Tourism Management

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
