Senior SQL DBA - Full Time Direct - Lexington MA

We are currently engaged with a client who is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA on a full time direct employee basis. In this role, the Senior SQL Server DBA will provide:
Administration, maintenance and availability of enterprise Production SQL server environments including cluster and replication.
Ensure backup and recoverability of all enterprise SQL server databases.
Ensure data security. Define and implement database access control policies and procedures, complying with SOX and HIPAA requirements.
Long term strategy to ensure integrated database systems and advise on physical data model and implement changes.
Capacity planning, working closely with Infrastructure group to allocate appropriate database resources on servers.
Technical leadership and mentor junior DBA's on the team on database technical details. Provide technical assistance to developers.
Monitor SQL server databases to ensure optimum performance, analyzing and resolving performance issues ensuring maximum uptime.
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Expert level experience as a DBA with multiple years as SQL DBA at an Enterprise Level; SQL Server 2008, 2008R2, 2005, including replication.
Installation, configuration, maintenance and performance tuning of SQL server and clusters.
Database monitoring tools.
Ability to manage VLDB
Strong problem solving skills in virtualize database environments.
SQL certification desired.
