Data Quality Lead

Software Methods is seeking a Data Quality Lead for a 6
month contract assignment at our client in the Lexington, MA area.
The Data Quality Lead reports to the MDM & Data Governance Lead and is responsible for the end-to-end governance of commercial data supporting both operations and analytics.
This person is responsible for leading and working with the various business area leads and data stewards to ensure cross-team processes are efficient and commercial data is consistent, accurate and compliant across applications.
He/she is directly responsible for the operational governance of the MDM customer, product and all third party data (i.
e.
Sales, Claims, Patient etc.
) with strategic direction from business stakeholders, including data quality, processes and business rules.
The Data Quality Lead is responsible for our client's Data Governance tool; insuring data is created and updated correctly in alignment with Commercial Governance principles and practices.
He/She will be responsible for providing exceptional service to internal customers, and for clearly communicating data quality and governance processes, project status, and planned changes with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the IT Governance team to establish a commercial Data Governance program Work with the Data Governance Board (IGC) and Executive Sponsor to establish priorities for the U.

Commercial Data team Lead the Data Governance working team in establishing commercial data definitions, standards and protocol Work with the Data Architect to coordinate all application changes including resolving application issues and planning for enhancements and upgrades Define the key master, reference, reporting and metadata within U.
S.
Commercial Ops, working closely with business and technical leaders.
Establish an authoritative repository for these data elements and define, implement and govern practices around maintenance Establish a commercial data definition repository and identify Data Stewards in the business that will be responsible for defining and maintaining the definitions of the key data elements Responsible for defining Data Governance Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions Responsible for defining and measuring customer and product data Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Data Quality Metrics Lead the definition of data sourcing and services strategies including the evaluation of third party data providers and services with strategic direction from the Commercial Data Lead Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations Maintain knowledge of and adhere to internal compliance policies and procedures Take responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Required Skills:
The individual must be self-motivated, a team player, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess the ability to manage simultaneous projects, prioritizing based on business criticality/needs, in a demanding environment A strong background in third party data vendor management, MDM/CRM, data analysis, and business requirements definitions and is technology and system savvy Familiarity with key Pharma 3rd party data vendors i.

IMS, Symphony, MedPro, and Veeva Experience with Collibra preferred Ability to influence without formal authority Ability to effectively interact with senior leadership Strong sense of urgency Knowledge of data privacy laws especially those that uniquely effect the pharmaceutical industry Strong analytical skills Technical knowledge of core data management components such as data models, source to target mapping lineage, business glossaries, data dictionaries, data governance frameworks, and data profiling People data model acumen a plus Mid to high acumen in SQL for validating data issues related to monthly/quarterly quality dashboards required Software knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel & Word Approximately 4 - 6 years of related work experience in Data Governance for mid to large sized corporations A degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred Experience in Pharma commercial operations Demonstrated ability to support all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, design, development, conversion and testing Pharmaceutical background required.
