Associate Staff - Program Engineer (EE)

The Fabrication Engineering Group provides rapid fabrication, assembly, integration, and test of advanced hardware prototypes for national security applications. Examples include the precision machining of fiber mounts for airborne high energy laser systems, multi-functional structures using additive processes for ground-based radar systems, custom printed circuit boards for space-borne data processing, and highly integrated mechanical packaging for undersea communication terminals. Core mechanical competencies span precision fabrication, additive manufacturing, and 5-axis machining. Core PCB capabilities include automated solder paste dispensers, precise pick-n-place machines, and automated optical inspection systems. Assembly, integration, and test capabilities include integration spaces, clean rooms, vibration testing, thermal testing, and space simulation chambers. The Group focuses on quality management, operational proficiency, and technical excellence.

Job Description

The Group seeks a talented, creative, and motivated associate staff member to strengthen the Group s ability to provide rapid and innovative fabrication solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of program teams, internal shop operations and other group members to provide fabrication proficiency during printed circuit board (PCB) design, component selection and assembly. The fabrication proficiency includes activities that are typical of a component engineer during the design phase of the program and will transition to overall responsibility for successful PCB assembly during the execution phase of the program. The ideal candidate will be an extension of the group office who is an embedded program team member that bridges the gap between program needs and fabrication execution for PCB assembly. Requirements:

  • A Master s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical degree or Bachelor s degree with 5-years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Recognized self-motivator that seeks to continuously learn and challenge himself/herself
  • Ability to multi-task and drive issues to closure
  • General knowledge of current fabrication technologies and an interest to learn future fabrication technologies
  • An understanding of fabrication operations and supply chain management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
