Technical Staff - Senior Software Assurance Engineer

MIT Lincoln Laboratory is a federally-funded research and development center chartered to develop advanced technology in support of national security.
Research and development activities focus on long-term technology development as well as rapid system prototyping and demonstration.
These efforts are aligned within key mission areas, including air and missile defense; space control; homeland protection and tactical systems; biological-chemical defense; cyber security; information sciences and technology; communication systems; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and technology; and advanced electronics technology.
The Laboratory works with government and industry to transition new concepts, technology and prototypes into future system development and deployment.

The objective of the Mission Assurance Office is to partner with program teams, Divisions, Groups, and Departments to collaboratively achieve mission success.

Job Overview

Candidate will work within the Mission Assurance Office as the subject matter expert for software and firmware engineering and assurance.
The potential candidate will support projects from across the Laboratory.
This role serves as the Laboratory focal point to ensure that critical software quality and engineering processes and procedures are established, planned, and implemented throughout the Laboratory to ensure their success.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 15 years experience in engineering or computer science
  • Experience with developing and testing software in an AS9100 or Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) framework
  • Experience with performing software quality engineering and quality/mission assurance
  • Ability to perform software safety and reliability analyses
  • Experience with embedded software and firmware development in spacecraft and/or electronic systems

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
